The Remo Ambassador Hazy Snare Side features open resonant tones and is the industry standard for resonant snare drum applications.
Constructed with a single ply of 3 mil film, Remo Ambassador® Hazy Snare Side drumheads provide a perfect balance of high, mid and low frequencies for all Snare drum types. Available in sizes 8" - 16".
Remo’s Ambassador Hazy Snare Side is an excellent middle ground between responsiveness and depth, allowing your snare drum to shine across a huge range of musical styles.
The Ambassador Hazy Snare Side is a 3 mil single ply resonant snare drum head. This is the “standard” thickness for most snare side heads… If you’re replacing the one that came with your snare, it’s most likely a 3 mil drumhead.
Generally, 3 mil is the sweet spot between providing good depth and body to the sound, while also allowing for good snare wire response and sensitivity. This makes the Remo Ambassador Snare Side a perfect all-round resonant snare drum head.
This drumhead is sensitive enough to be used at lower volumes, while also providing enough depth to cut through at higher volumes. For general studio recording, the Ambassador Hazy Snare Side is also a very good performer.
Tip: If you need a resonant drumhead for extremely light and sensitive snare articulations, take a look at the Remo Diplomat Snare Side.
The “hazy” film is semi-translucent, giving this resonant drumhead a nice look and adding a small boost to the warmer end of the sound spectrum. The resulting sound is well balanced across the high, mid, and low frequencies.
For comparison, the Ambassador Clear Snare Side drumhead has a slightly brighter sound.
The 3 mil ply allows for a moderate sustain, giving each stroke an open tone (although less open than thinner snare side heads). Snare response is crisp, and snare definition is good with both drumsticks and brushes.
Note: This is a resonant snare drum head, designed to be used on the resonant side (bottom) of the snare drum. Do not use this as a batter (top) head, as it will damage very easily due to the very thin ply.

We want you to have a positive experience shopping with us, so we offer a 30 day returns policy should the product not be suitable.
Simply open a return request from your account on our site, or contact us by phone or email. We will then provide an RA (return authorisation) number and instructions on where to send the parcel.
Please note, returns are only accepted if the goods are unopened, with all packaging and any seals unbroken. If you've used or opened the product, we cannot sell it as new. I'm sure you'd agree when buying something you expect it to be brand new! The refund or credit will be minus our shipping and admin fees
Some items are exluded from this returns policy, including any product that may present hygeine issues. These products are deemed excluded at our discretion.
All products sold by this site come with a guarantee to be free of defects, in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.
However, please choose carefully as refunds are not usually provided when you have simply changed your mind, found it cheaper elsewhere, or made a wrong selection.
