The Controlled Sound Clear Top Black Dot drumheads features focused mid-range tones with a well defined attack.
Constructed with a single ply of 10 mil Clear film and a 5 mil Top Black Dot, Controlled Sound Clear Black Dot drumheads provide articulate attack and projection with added durability.
The drumhead's outer area offers enhanced tone and sensitivity while the centre Black Dot adds durability and overtone control.
Can also be used as a resonant (bottom) head. Available in sizes 6" - 28".
The Remo Controlled Sound Clear features a black dot on the topside to give more focus and attack, while still allowing for a nice amount of sustain. This drumhead has a bright and full sound, with good projection and durability. The Controlled Sound Clear is perfect for toms, or as a snare drum batter head.
The Remo Controlled Sound Clear is made with a single ply of 10 mil film, and a 5 mil top centre control dot.
These drumheads are the brightest of the Controlled Sound range, and will give a good cutting projection. The thinner single ply construction allows for good responsiveness, with a nice sustain. The 5 mil centre control dot means overtones won’t get out of control, and allows these drumheads to be hit harder and last longer.
The Remo Controlled Sound Clear is an excellent choice for toms if you want a bright, full, and projecting sound, without excessive overtones. These drumheads also perform well as a snare drums batter head if you don’t plan on using brushes. They have a nice cutting projection and moderate sustain, with ringing controlled by the centre dot.
Tip: For brush use, you’ll require a coated drumhead – take a look at the Controlled Sound Coated.
As a resonant tom drumhead, the Controlled Sound Clear will give you a little less sustain than a standard 10 mil resonant head, thanks to the centre dot. This is useful if you want to keep some sustain, but don’t want the ringing to get out of control.

We want you to have a positive experience shopping with us, so we offer a 30 day returns policy should the product not be suitable.
Simply open a return request from your account on our site, or contact us by phone or email. We will then provide an RA (return authorisation) number and instructions on where to send the parcel.
Please note, returns are only accepted if the goods are unopened, with all packaging and any seals unbroken. If you've used or opened the product, we cannot sell it as new. I'm sure you'd agree when buying something you expect it to be brand new! The refund or credit will be minus our shipping and admin fees
Some items are exluded from this returns policy, including any product that may present hygeine issues. These products are deemed excluded at our discretion.
All products sold by this site come with a guarantee to be free of defects, in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.
However, please choose carefully as refunds are not usually provided when you have simply changed your mind, found it cheaper elsewhere, or made a wrong selection.
