Two Notes' Torpedo Reload is your one-stop high-end device for quiet/silent playing and reamping.
A power attenuator, multi-impedance loadbox, DI, and re-amping box all in one, Torpedo Reload does it all - and quite well, we might add. This is essential kit for a proper guitarist's studio.
It's all about tone, and you may have used attenuators that have disappointed you in the past.
Torpedo Reload's Reactive-Active technology presents your amp with a consistent speaker impedance, for glorious, full, transparent sound - no matter how much attenuation you've dialled up.
Torpedo Reload comes with 24 Wall of Sound cabinets, and others are available for purchase directly from within the interface.
Why should re-amping be a hassle? With Two Notes Torpedo Reload, it's not.
The process is streamlined and easy. Just record your guitar direct, send the signal back to your amp using the Replay, drive your amp properly (this is automatic), lower your level (or make it completely silent) with Re-Act, and record the signal from the loadbox.
You can even use another mic and cabinet for a third option. And all this can all happen simultaneously. Incredible!
Plug your guitar into Torpedo Reload's Hi-Z DI input jack and send the signal to your DAW or recorder. You can later re-send the signal to your guitar amp via Reload's Replay function.
Torpedo Reload preserves your guitar's tone with pristine clarity, letting you re-inject it into your amp through the Replay.
Reactive-Active technology presents your amp with a consistent speaker impedance, for glorious, full, transparent sound - no matter how much attenuation you've dialled up.
If you're like a lot of today's guitarists, you'll probably want to concentrate on laying down solid tracks and worry about which amp to use at another time.
Torpedo Reload to the rescue!
The hardest part of re-amplification is making sure the output level on your DAW matches the level of your guitar when it's directly connected to your amplifier.
With Torpedo Reload's Match function, it's automatic!
Two Notes' innovative Match function solves the hassles of level adjustment when re-amping.
Match compares the signal as it comes from your guitar (plugged into Reload's DI input) with the signal you've recorded (which is sent to the Replay line input) so that what you send the amp is level-perfect.
You can be sure the signal you send from your DAW is precisely what your guitar itself would be sending.
Torpedo Reload ships with the Wall of Sound III cabinet model plug-in and gets you started with 24 speaker cabinets (you can purchase additional cabs directly via the interface).
In concert with Torpedo Reload and your favourite guitar or bass amp, Wall of Sound III achieves totally true-to-life studio miking of your amp.
You select the the cabinet and microphone; find the sweet spot and place the mic in your virtual studio. Then you can deploy all those cool Torpedo features, including power-amp simulation, 3rd-party IR compatibility, and the possibility of mixing up to 100 different cabs within a single plug-in instance. Wow!
From Two Notes:
Two Notes Audio Engineering, creator of the world’s best speaker cabinet simulation (cab sim), has bridged a new technological gap with the Torpedo Reload, your new high-end device for silent playing and reamplification.
The Torpedo Reload is the ideal combination of the devices you must have in a modern studio for the recording of electric guitars and basses: a power attenuator, a multi-impedance load box, a DI and re-amping box – it does it all and does it perfectly too.
The Two Notes philosophy stands in one word, transparency.
The tone must come from your guitar, your amp and cabinet – not from the electronics that we put between parts of your regular setup.
You love the sound of your amplifier pushed right to the magic sweet spot where the best tones are. Until now, the only available option was blasting your sound through a 4×12″ to properly excite a microphone.
Enter Torpedo, the simplest and most realistic way to get your sound to your audience. Use the amp you love!
Everything that makes a real amp rule over all the other alternatives is retained. You can even record silently late at night!
Gone is the backache from the loadout, complaints from neighbours, venue staff or even bandmates and the frustration of not being able to sound at one’s best trying to reduce the volume.
Attenuators are usually known for the negative impact they have on your tone in cases of heavy attenuation.
On the contrary, the Reactive-Active technology presents your amplifier with a consistent speaker’s impedance no matter what level of attenuation you’re at, and thus preserves the specific character of your amplifier.
With a choice of 4, 8, or 16 Ohms, your amplifier (up to 150W RMS) will actually see real speaker impedance, and your tone will remain constant throughout the continuous attenuation curve.
The result of years of research, the RE-ACT technology (Reactive-Active Attenuator) will tame your amplifier without ever betraying it.
From 0 dB attenuation to total silencing, you can nonetheless choose between absolute transparency to more vintage or modern tone colouring with the CONTOUR.
Plug your guitar into the DI Input and send that signal to your recorder. At that stage what you want is clarity and Two Notes preserves your guitar’s tone, as you will certainly want to re-inject it into your amp through the REPLAY.
One of the most interesting options in studios nowadays: play the guitar one day, and mike the amp (or many different amps) another. The Torpedo Reload is your re-amplifying device of choice.
The most difficult part in re-amplification techniques is finding the output level on the DAW that matches the level of your guitar when it is directly connected to the amplifier.
That problem is now solved, thanks to Reload’s unique…
This Two Notes innovation is the solution to the problem of level adjustment when re-amplifying.
MATCH compares the signal as it comes from the guitar (plugged to the DI input) with the signal that has been recorded (and which is sent to the REPLAY Line Input) so that what you send to the amp is the ideal level only.
Now you can be sure that the signal you send from the DAW is exactly what your guitar itself would be sending.
Torpedo Wall of Sound (WoS) is a speaker and miking simulation plugin. A plugin is a software you can load on a track of your sequencer, such as Cubase, Logic, Pro Tools, Reaper, inside your Digital Audio Workstation.
With your Torpedo Reload and WoS you have the best configuration to record amazingly good guitar or bass tones for all your musical projects.
The Torpedo Reload comes with 24 virtual cabinets usable with the WoS and all USB-equipped Torpedo hardware (C.A.B. M, Live, Studio, C.A.B. and VB-101).
