HPH-MT8 headphones are designed to deliver accurate response and high-resolution sound with precise stereo imaging, and faithfully reproduce every nuance of the mid to high-end with tight bass.
Yamaha has applied decades of accrued knowledge and expertise in professional and high-end studio equipment manufacturing to the design of each and every acoustic component in these headphones.
Yamaha's HPH-MT8 Studio Monitor Headphones are designed to cast a spotlight on the problem areas of your audio. From the studio to the stage, these high performance headphones will help put the finishing touches on your mixes and paint your source material in a realistic light.
Yamaha HPH-MT8's are loaded with full-range 45 mm neodymium dynamic drivers for accurate sound reproduction across the entire audible spectrum. Their comfortable ABS headband, ear cups, and pads are designed to stand up to long mixing hours.
The Yamaha HPH-MT7 headphones come with a carry bag, 4 and 10 foot detachable cable and 1/4" adaptor.
There are two factors at play here: the closed-back earcups, and a circumaural (around-the-ear) design.
The closed backs mean your Yamaha HPH-MT8 Studio Monitor Headphones offer increased isolation from outside sources, suiting them to stage use where you're surrounded by loud audio.
Their circumaural design means they seal around the ears to create the big bass needed for mixing applications.
Monitoring in a reliable, treated environment with speakers you trust is always going to trump mixing on headphones. But today's mixing headphones have gotten so advanced that, for audio folks without a great room and reliable speakers, they're sometimes a better alternative.
Take the Yamaha HPH-MT8's. These headphones are built for mixing from the ground up. Their drivers and ear cups have been designed to eliminate extraneous resonance, ensuring that what you hear in these headphones remains true to the audio source.
Headphones also have the added advantage of being portable — mix at the beach or at the coffee shop if you feel so inclined.
Making great mixes means getting your hands dirty. That means hearing things that are sometimes unpleasant — room peaks, bass buildup, shrill sibilance, noisy guitar amps, and more.
If you're looking to make solid mixes that translate from system to system, the Yamaha HPH-MT8 headphones should be high on your list.
From the arms to the ear cups, all acoustic components in the HPH-MT8 headphones have been designed to deliver an accurate sound by eliminating extraneous resonances.
Isolation and Comfort
For professional users, it is important that headphones aren't fatiguing during extended listening sessions. Also, headphones should provide isolation to enable maximum concentration while working. The HPH-MT8 headphones provide both comfort and isolation.
The HPH-MT8 headphones utilise a sleek, stylish design with a closed-back, over-ear configuration.
HPH-MT8 headphones are equipped with large ear pads for a comfortable fit. Smooth synthetic leather and low-resistance cushions absorb excess vibrations.
A three-dimensional arm-pivot construction and adjustable slider allows the angle of the ear pads to fit the shape of the wearer's head to a T, helping to alleviate fatigue when working for extended periods. The headphones also feature movable earcups, allowing single-ear monitoring when required.
These headphones have been designed to make users aware of the cable without being hindered by it, while providing enough length for monitoring applications where mobility is a consideration.
The detachable straight 3 metre cable comes equipped with a corrosion-resistant gold-plated 3.5 mm plug and a gold-plated 1/4" stereo adaptor. Also included is a 1.2 metre coiled cable for even more flexibility!
